SEPTEMBER 2008
 Midden midden everywhere ! its all about the timing! Its all
about the friends you make with this hobby too! Austindiggers was
lucky enough to be contacted by Mr. Cacha , a land owner with old 1/2 dug midden
that he wanted checked out before dozing it up! I personally
want to thank Mr. Casha for the invite and new September place to dig!

Found a EAR last week too !!!!.. Am I getting closer or WHAT! here is my
Andice hiding?? Maybe some day!

Here are a few insitu shots of a nice point peeking out at me!

Here is One Eyed Jack and Hal moving some rock slabs out of the wa to get
this knife and a great little montell out of the cracks between the rocks as well!

Jack moved this big old slab for me and there was actually something behind this
one for me too! Gotta love a green guy with a jack!

Well , I guess after that, he got sneaky with the camera... Gotta watch digging with these guys sometimes!
Talk about a "Wash Out Area" All these items that we are finding under an beside these rocks on
the down hill side of the midden is great! HARD work, but totally worth it too! As you can see (My Butt) .. 8)

Hard at work.. No one got any breaks today! HIGH MAN! HIGHER!!!!

Best of the best for the day  - All and all .. TOTALLY worth the trip !

And someone drank my LAST cold beer... Jack better watch out !!!!
Next time I am leaving him in the TRUNK !

I as looking all over for my pick... Pepe was working in my throw dirt!

Hal said he found this "Zora" .. But if you want the pictures close.. Pepe' touched it first.. So its
going in his collection! HAHA Hal.. Getting kinda slow there old man!



Starting off with a new wall... Some great snail and crunch layers were showing there
little faces! Looked pretty great all morning long!

Talk about a LONG morning.. I guess this is how "GeoFactFan" felt after
digging with Hal all morning ! HEHEHEH!! Pepe' couldn't keep up with him either!

Thought that I would give the little guy a taste of his own medicine when my SHOE blew out!
Pepe' put a Point in my shoe to hold open the flap (Hard to see it) I guess HE even though it needed some fresh air!

Not such a bad dig for a new area.. I got a great perd to take home and Pepe'' got a Nap or two in.
Hal got his usual 10 more than me !  Hay, he is a earth mover what can we say!

Here are the best of the best of the day's finds.. Mike went up to house for a drink after this
long day of digging!  He is camera shy I guess.. Don't want neighbors knocking on the door !

Pepe' - Sorry to say, didn't make it through the day.. he got tired of smelling
himself and committed Katchup-Cary by trying to clean up after a hard day at the ranch.
Too bad too.. I am sure he will be ok.. After a long bath in that stuff for the evening!
