"On the Nueces with Nacho"

Welcome to a update for the "Nacho Pay Dig"
Nacho has a sifter dig, at Camp Wood, on the Nueces River. It looks that looks like I have to get out of
Cedar Park more often! Nacho has a great setup, all you need is water and gloves. Come enjoy nature and
bring a good pair of leather gloves and lets go through some dirt together!

Here is Hal's home made, I need to move dirt to find points, GLOVE TOOL
Ok, for those of you who think they see a 1/2 a egg pan glued to a good leather glove with
liquid nail.. Well.. You are CORRECT! The Hal Man made this special glove because , come on,
scooping dirt for 8 hours would take the tips right off my fingers! Way to go Mr. Special Tool!!!

Ok, Ready, Set, SIFT!  Here is how it works for those who have never been to one of these type of
digs before.. Wait a minute!! I have never been to one either! Ahh! But, anyway... !!
You stand at a large table with a graded top that the small soil falls thought and the Bobcat man Nacho
brings the table loads of dirt to sift through. Then you pick through the pile and put the
arrowheads and base tangs and kerville knives and things like that right in to your pocket!

When you find something in the dirt you, clean it up a bit in water, then show it off to your friends! I believe that's a
great Kerville Knife that Pat, from www.texaschche.net , is holding in her hand!

It was such a workout, all the sifting and cleaning and putting in her pocket, that after
it was all done.. She had time to sit and just take in some nature. 8)

Nacho is in the Bobcat bringing in the next load of dirt while the gang is working the table.
Angus (Light Shirt) - Roger(Green Shift),  Nacho, Rosco,  Hal and Pat were working hard all
day long to get the goods to the table and get out the points.
