Mark H from Dallas bought a large area right in front
of the barn
TJ used his backhoe to dig it all up and move the
dirt to another location on the property
and the next day he filled back in so Randy could
get in and out of his barn.

All of those pics are of pieces from in front of the
barn found this past Sat, 10-6-07,
that Mark found while the dirt was being excavated
and moved
Latest news from Randy is about the area behind the
barn
the material is over 36" deep- everything from Angostura/Early
Triangle

I would be VERY afraid if I were the bison looking
down the shaft of this
covington blade coming at me that's for sure!
These are two of the points TJ found in his diggin
square back behind the barn!

Look close at all these beauties here! That large
perd is great but I haven't seen a large
perd like that since Hal and I were digging at Randy's!
WOW They certainly made some
great big old perds while handing out there by the
water !

Randys dig is clean and well taken care of! There are even some
tarps to dig in the shade!
UPDATE!! Cynthia had her MARSHAL that she found in 2 pieces restored
by Dr. Gomer. It came out WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!!
Contact Dr. Gomer for your repairs!

Randys Dig was today - It was a great Day!
Randy's Dig was again fun!
Its SO NICE to dig under the tarp! I got a GREAT perd!!!
Roy - Cynthia - Rachael showed up to dig a hole from Cleveland,
TX ! Nice to meet you all!
Cynthia found a Base tang base.. Marshal I believe.. Then about
a hour or so later FOUND THE OTHER 1/2 !!!!!
Sucker is 6 inches long!!! What a GREAT FIND!!! I am so happy for
you all .. and it was their first time ever digging!!!
Took a big old picture of the camp and the great views of Randys'
Dig. Its a beautiful place ! You ALL should make
it a POINT to visit this wonderful camp site before all the goodies
are in other peoples pockets!!
Its a VERY vice and well kept area. Randy really takes care of the
area and its not like those
other dig sites .. you know where its dug and where its not here..
Always new ground.. No moving throw dirt
around to see if there is a chance that someone missed one.. This
is new ground.. Just waiting for you!
Roy - Cynthia - Rachael
Came out to Randys to dig all the way from Cleveland, Texas! VERY
nice to meet you all!
Glad that you all were there to share the heat! Jim StJohn also
showed up for the dig.. For those
who missed it.. YOU MISSED IT ! It turned out to be a nice day after
all and wasn't that messy at all!
Roy found the first point of the day.. For Roy and the rest
of the family.. this was there FIRST EVER
dig! Whatta ya think about that! I think they had a great time too!
Roy and the game are surface
hunters and creek walkers. VERY glad to have you all there with
us!
Thanks for waiting till I took a picture before you snatched it
up Roy!!!!!!!!
Hal was chiming right along with us.. Here is a point that he got
sticking out of the wall. Broken but
still a beauty! We always keep everything that we find.. Large and
small ! If anyone is looking for
choppers... well.. STAY OUTTA MY FLOWER BED! heh
I know that's NOT Cynthia's hand... But that IS the HUGE Marshal
base that she found!!!
Whatta beauty too!!! Too bad it was not all there.......................
......... BUT WAIT !!!!!!!! THERE IS MORE LATER ON THIS PAGE!!!
(HINT!)
Here we all all.. except me ofcourse.. taking the picture!!! hehe
Working the heck out of this wall! We all
know that there is something in there waiting for us.. So we are
just being careful where we poke around!
And if Hal pokes around on my side I will poke him in the eye! heheh
This is my dirty feet .. and the 2 tarps that I put down because
of the wet ground.. It really worked out well too!
And a picture of a strange little arrowhead that I found. Its total
flat flake on the other site.. VERY interesting!
Here is the nice needle tip perd that I found!! Woo Hoo!!!! The
base is a little large.. Probably
alot larger sometime in its life before the little indian missed
the bunny rabbit and had to re-work it back to a point!
Did I mention that Cynthia found the tip of that MARSHAL later on
in the day!!!
CAN YOU BELIEVE IT!!!! We were all thrilled for her!! Its 6 inches
long and with a little
restoration this will be a find of a lifetime for these surface
hunters!!!
I am so happy for Cynthia !!!! And on her first dig too!!!!! YOU
GO GIRL!!!!!!!!
And here is a picture of the happy Cynthia with her find!! Ray had
to take a picture with the
camera phone to share a picture with friends before they even cleaned
it!
Just look at those smiling faces!!!!!!!! WELL worth the trip huh
guys!!
Here is Hal's fat knife / scraper that he got out of the final little
nibble of the corner of the hole.. We knew something
was in there! The last one of the day for us too!
After all the digging.. we all sat around and chatted for a little
while and cooled down checking out
all the finds that Roy brought to show us from the surface hunting
side of this great hobby of ours
Anyone see that paleo section there at the bottem!!!!!!!! I wanna
come across some of those
digging! Didn't know you could just walk around in some water and
get um! I quess I am doing something
wrong! heheh Too bad there aren't areas around here that are actually
legal to poke around in !
Check out this great big old leg bone!!!! I LOVE to find bone ..
Never found anything that large
digging though! I quess dinosaur wasn't on the menu of the indians
though huh!
There was a big old pile of bone and teeth and bits and pieces to
look through! There was some great stuff in there!
All just waiting for you walker abouts to pick them all up !! Thanks
for bringing all your finds alone to show us!
Did I mention that I was going to try out the creek this time!!!!!!!!
The water was great !
Thank you all for looking at this page, and for that matter, thanks
to ALL of you that have followed
my little website and seen it grow over the years from just a little
runt to a contender to the large sites!
I have hundreds of austindigger followers and I thank you all for
being there for me to share with you all!
Michelle
