Well, September is looking to be a messy messy month ! Look forward
to quite a few muddy days and 10lb shoes on this months issue!

The beginning of the month was a dig that Hal went to Chrisners and took some great
pictures of his finds and some of the Sifter Digging that was going on at
Barefoot Bills Sifter Dig at Chrisners Ranch!


You all can do ALL the digging you want... But If you do not more those huge rocks.. That HAL will !
All you need is 70 years of blistered hands and a bottle jack and you have it made!
You have NO IDEA what is left there! Remember when HAL got that CLOVIS from between
the rocks at the WATERFALL dig????
WEll, you diggers really need to get with the program because if you leave something there.. HAL will find it!

" DREW" screened out an ENSOR as big as the one Lee found at digfest ! Right on 5 inches long! WOW!  Congrats! Drew!!

Onward to one of our Austin favorite leases!
hal and I have been working this lease for over a year now.
It was ALMOST lost forever.. But , we have re-vived it to the
POINT of a great place to dig again!

Can you say STOKED?? This TIP was poking its little head out for me.. And I didn't even knock the tip off!
LUCK for me I must have been tired that day because usually I would have nicked it at lease!
But NOT TODAY PILGRIM!
Its a beautiful 3 1/2 PERD! Complete from the base to the Tippy Tip!

And a Grinding stone ta boot!
Things are going just fine here at the dig! They are thinking of letting others in
Will keep you all posted if that happens!

Look at the depth of this Grinding Stone!
Some dinner was prepared with this beauty thetas for sure!



Watch what your tossing to the dogs! Gotta watch what you are tossing in the throw piles!
What the dog doesn't find .. HAL will!

Another visit to Chrisners.. Did a little sifting too!

Only did 1 table because it was kinda still wet.. But it STILL panned out!

Back to our little favorite AAMP!

This month was hard on us old Austin Diggers with the rain and all... We have seen better digging
days that's for sure.. But we make the most of it every chance we get!
Who wants to stay home and watch All My Children on mondays!
(Ok.. So what is happening with Aden and Kendyal! Ah!! Really! Email me! heh)


HAL was nice enough to dig 2 inches deeper than I was digging and he pilled this
ANGOSTURA beauty from where I was digging... Whatta guy ! He was nice enough to give it to me (by deangela)!
I was PISSED! Ahh! Just goes to show you, don't dig unless you are going to dig the right way!
